US citizens are forbidden to spend money in Cuba – so this makes travel a bit difficult for a good chunk of the North American travel market. Some do it by traveling with special educational visas, pre-paid vacations booked in Canada, or just enter via tours from Cancun, Jamaica, The Bahamas or Turks & Caicos Islands. Any way you do it, it may invite extra attention from US Customs/Immigration – even if you manage to avoid a stamp in your passport.

The rest of the world doesn’t have this problem and has discovered that Cuba has a wealth of history, beaches and culture that make it one of the most desired Caribbean destinations.
